Weird But True

The New York Post printed a few weird but true animal stories on October 29, 2005. One talks about a cat named Emily from Appleton, WI who was known to stray from her home. One time she had been missing for a month when her vet got a call from France. Factory workers found Emily in a ship container and made the call because of her ID tag. Now her owner will fly her home from France.

Another cat, Fritz, from Luebeck, Germany took off with his owner’s toe! The owner dropped a knife while slicing bread, which resulted in the detached digit. While the man was hopping around, Fritz took the toe to the garden and promptly buried it there. It was never found.
